Ajooba (Amitabh Bachchan) is the masked legend that serves as the protector of the people of Baharistan. In reality, Ajooba is actually Ali, the only son of the Sultan and Malika who were overthrown shortly after his birth by the Vazir of the State. Ali is hidden away and raised by blacksmith, who is unaware of his destiny. As Ali grows to an adult, he assumes the guise of Ajooba, and begins to search for his lost parents, to reinstate them, and in the process escalates via rumor as a hero to the people.
